Document tracking solution for a leading government research organization

Background and Context
The client is a research arm for the government which creates about 30-40 new files everyday and at any given time has a stock of about 300 files WIP. Given complicated compliance procedures, there is an intricate process flow for the movement of files based on pre-set rules. Due to manual movement, the client was having problems with:
1. Missing files because of which whole files have to be recreated
2. Enormous search time for retrieving files
Solution
Tareta put in place a complete solution with the following components to streamline file status monitoring:
1. Deployed a system to tag all files with RFID tags with unique IDs
2. Deployed USB based low-cost RFID readers for authorized personnel
3. Developed a software for capturing data from the tags and syncing it with a central database of the client
4. The web-based software had in-built logic for file flow, issue process and receive / return process
